The lower-class people living in the rear car have long suffered oppression, and in their quest for freedom and power, they have launched multiple revolts in the past, all of which ended in failure. This time, the charismatic leader Curtis (played by Chris Evans) attempts to locate the imprisoned security designer Namgoong Minsu (played by Song Kang-ho), hoping to use his skills to unlock the heavy door leading to the front car and overthrow Wilford's regime.
