The parties involved, Lenny (played by Kevin Bacon) and Vince (played by Colin Firth), were a famous duo. Lenny claims that the deceased, Maureen, drowned due to an overdose, but when Karen cross-examines Lenny's lifestyle habits with the autobiography, she discovers numerous inconsistencies. Back then, Lenny and Vince were thriving in their careers, and the mob invited them to perform. One night, school reporter Maureen ended up in bed with the two men and inadvertently discovered Vince's homosexual tendencies and used this to blackmail him. Lenny suspects that drug-addicted Vince killed Maureen, but both evade punishment with the mob's protection. While Karen remains noncommittal about the statements from both men, the real killer surfaces... This film won the Best Screenplay Award at the 2006 Canadian Genie Awards.
