intro：The story takes place in a city by the Xiang River in Hunan. He Na (played by Zhou Wenyu) and her mother Zhang Lan (played by Zheng Shuang) are dependent on each other. Their originally happy mother-daughter relationship undergoes a fundamental change due to the arrival of the thug Lin Guo (played by Liu Qiancheng). As it turns out, Lin Guo is the new boyfriend of her mother. On He Na's birthday, she witnesses Lin Guo with another girl and tells her mother about it, which leads to a loss of peace in their home. After getting tired of Zhang Lan, Lin Guo disappears with all her savings, causing a complete rift between He Na and her mother. Deeply affected, Zhang Lan falls from the balcony while drunk and ends up in the hospital. He Na reluctantly tracks down Lin Guo, wanting to get back the money he took to pay for her mother's surgery. By chance, she meets Xia Hong (played by Qi Qi), a girl Lin Guo had previously been involved with, who is now pregnant with his child. Together, they search for that man burdened with debts of sin...
