His wife, Sayaka (played by Tomoko Yamaguchi), is a popular food designer who is busy with work every day and has no time to spare. Their only daughter, Moe (played by Ayaka Shimizu), has a peculiar temperament and claims to have a sixth sense, often causing trouble at school. One day, Ryota's estranged father, Eikyu (played by Isao Natsuyagi), falls ill on his way to Nagano. Ryota happens to meet a mysterious woman named Naho (played by Aoi Miyazaki) in the hospital visiting him, leading to suspicion from his mother Mitsuko (played by Kazuko Yoshiyuki) and sister Naki (played by YOU). After that, the unappreciated Ryota applies for paid leave and takes the suspended Moe to Nagano to investigate Naho's identity and the legendary forest dwarf Kuna.
